We will never ask you for money

Basic education in Kano State is free. No school, office or officer may charge a parent for admission, a transfer certificate, a result slip, a textbook or a place in an examination. Where a charge is lawful it is paid against a reference and produces an electronic acknowledgement, never cash in an envelope.
